STOKE ST GREGORY PARISH COUNCIL

Minutes of the Annual Parish Council Meeting,

Held on Monday 12^th May 2008 at 7.30pm in the Meeting Room, Williams Hall

Present Irene Browning, Julia Clewes, Fiona Quick, John Hembrow, Trevor

Williams, Gill Slattery, Heather Venn, David House

In attendance Nobby Clark (Somerset County Councillor), Tony McKenzie (Clerk)

& Paul Kenefick (Footpath Officer), 2 members of the public.

Apologies None

Election of Chairman

IB advised that she had decided to retire as Chairman and proposed John Hembrow

as Chairman. This was seconded by HV. There were no other nominations. JH was

unanimously elected.

JH made and then signed the Declaration of Office of Chairman and this was

witnessed by the Clerk.

Election of Vice chairman

DH proposed Heather Venn, seconded by IB. There were no other nominations.

HV was unanimously elected.

Other Elections

Village Hall representative: JH had been elected at the Village Hall AGM held on 22^nd April 2008

3 Playing Field representatives: HV proposed that Dennis Silk, Fiona Quick and Colin Moore be elected. This was seconded by GS and agreed by all.

The ordinary meeting of the Parish Council then followed.
