| The population in 2000 was 972. With very strict planning controls this figure has been stable for some time. In-filling is restricted to a short length of road in Woodhill. One new house was started this year. Barn or farm building conversions are allowed and are in great demand. |

The village has mains electricity, water and drainage, but no gas.
