STOKE ST GREGORY PARISH COUNCIL

Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on

Thursday 29^th May 2008 in the Meeting Room, Williams Hall.

Present Heather Venn (Chairman), David House, Gill Slattery, Julia Clewes.

In attendance Tony McKenzie (Clerk).

12. Internal Audit Report

The Clerk explained the internal audit report and advised that no problems had been

reported by the internal auditor.

13. Annual Return

The Clerk presented the Annual Return and explained its purpose for the benefit of new

Councillors present. Following discussion it was agreed by all to accept the annual return.

The statement of accounts was then signed by the Chairman.

The Annual Governance Statement was then read to the Council. Following discussion it was

agreed by all to accept the statement and it was then signed by the Chairman and Clerk.

The Clerk advised that the Annual Return and all supporting documentation would then be

submitted to the external auditors to meet the deadline of 1^st June.

The next meeting will be held on Monday 9^h June 2008 at 7.30pm in the meeting room at

the Williams Hall.

There being no further business the meeting closed at 7.55pm.
