It is our intention to promote physical play on the field. We would like to see the field come alive with sporting activities. So far Tennis, Football and Cricket coaching for children have been suggested and with some investigations, goodwill and planning this may be possible if there is sufficient interest. Please get in touch with a member of the committee if you like the sound of this or if you have any other proactive suggestions.
seems to have been a success. We have received many favourable comments from people who have enjoyed seeing the children using it over the summer.Michael Owen, Sean Rockett, Christian Cox and Alexander Wright have worked really hard to achieve this. These young people have shown outstanding talent in negotiation skills, team and physical work. It has been a pleasure to interact with them.
Unfortunately someone seems to find it necessary to pick the padlock and open the maintenance gate. This gate should be kept locked at all times as the area needs to be contained, otherwise we would not have gone to the expense of fencing it off. We are aware that one of the jumps could do with a better run up and will address this when our young users require a redesign of the course.
