South West Folk Group invite you – 27/28 July
The SW Folk Group of the Camping and Caravanning Club have been visiting Stoke St Gregory for a number of years for their group events, staying in the grounds of the Village Hall. They enjoy pastimes and entertainment such as folk crafts, music, dancing etc. They have enjoyed staying in Stoke in recent years, and meeting the locals. Their next visit will be Thursday 26 July to Monday 30 July.
On this occasion they would like to offer an open invitation to the villagers to join them for their ceilidh evenings – with songs and readings, barn dance style dancing etc.
So if you would like to go along just to listen and watch, or maybe to join in the singing, folk dancing, or even play along with their musicians (all standards welcome), they will be pleased to see you. There will be no tickets – just turn up at the Village Hall on Fri 27 or Sat 28 July from 7:30pm. There will be a small charge to cover tea/coffee & biscuits.
