Stoke St Gregory Parish Council should have nine members, but since Bill Carpenter resigned we are down to eight and looking for a replacement. If you are interested, or know someone who might be, please get in touch before 6th October. We are hoping to choose a new councillor at our next meeting on Monday 9th October.

The Council meets once a month to discuss parish concerns of all sorts, from mundane aspects of the infrastructure to far-reaching planning for the future of the village. We identify local issues requiring action, and we try to respond as imaginatively and fairly as possible to any concerns that are brought before us. Meetings are friendly, benefiting from the variety of skills and experiences of different council members. Ideally we would like to extend this variety. More information on the activities of the council and current council members may be found under the Parish Council menu at the top of this page. The Good Councillors Guide, available here, may also be helpful.

If you would like to join us, please get in touch with our Parish Clerk Becky Goodchild, or download and complete this form and return it to Becky by Friday 6th October.
