An important first step has been taken in the Heart of the Village project. This project aims to maintain a shop and pub at the centre of the village along with other facilities such as a coffee shop. Creation of a Cooperative Benefit Society called Heart of the Village (Stoke St Gregory) Ltd has now been formally approved, It is planned to hold a public consultation in the near future when the scope of the project along with plans on how to achieve the objective will be shared with the community. Your participation in this meeting will be an important element in delivering success. Be sure to look out for further announcements in the coming days.
