Stoke Stampede Sunday 9 January

This (actually next) year’s Stoke Stampede will take place on Sunday 9th January. As usual, the roads meeting at the centre of the village will be closed to traffic from eleven until one. This notice from Somerset County Council gives the details, including a map. Those unfamiliar with this annual event should be aware that all the roads between Stoke and North Curry will be more or less given over to runners from 11 until the conclusion of the Stampede.
