The Stoke St Gregory village website has been running in its current form since 2017. It never achieved the visitor numbers we had hoped, which meant that out-of-date content often went unnoticed for years and it was not seen as the reliable source of information it was designed to be.

Several things have shifted recently, leading to a rejig and a spring-clean: the HOTV pages are off to a new home on heartofthevillage.uk, while the Williams Hall website has come aboard. The classifications have been moved around to make it easier to navigate, and in particular to give a dedicated tab to showcase local businesses. It is to be hoped that more of these will take advantage of this digital shop window.

Another significant change is that the version of the website seen on phones and tablets has been improved. This was very much the poor relation in 2017 when most people accessed the website on computers, but now most of the traffic is on smaller devices we have given a long-overdue facelift to the navigation and page views for these.

We very much hope you will give the revived website a spin and, more to the point, it is vital that you keep us informed of events, news and contact information so that we can make the website as comprehensive and accurate as it should be.

NB: There are one or two glitches still to be ironed out. One thing we have noticed is that font styling is affected if you choose “Reject All” when you see the cookie banner. We recommend “Balanced” or “Accept All” since we do not collect any personal information on the site. We are also working in the background to improve loading speed. Another iteration of the site should be coming online in a week or two.
