Facilities
The Williams Hall was constructed in 2006 using a modular design developed in Canada and constructed of Canadian redwood. Given its origin it is an open and airy space in the summer and a warm and welcoming space in the colder months. The major elements of the hall are as follows.
Main Hall: 15.8 x 8.4 metres. Ceiling lighting and softer dimmable wall mounted lights. Comprehensive audio/visual equipment. Large professional stage with access to wings from meeting/green room. Two external double doors
Main Stage A large (4.8 x 8.4 metre) professional stage with access to wings from meeting/green room. Traditional proscenium arch and heavy stage curtains. There is a comprehensive set of lighting bars and choir microphones. Use of these would have to be arranged with the St Gregory Players, there may be a small charge
Meeting Room: 7.4 x 4.2 metres. Independent access from outside, and internal access to foyer. Galley kitchen, toilet and access to the stage wings. Can be set up for meetings (up to 20 in boardroom configuration) or small talks/lectures (up to 30).
Foyer: 11 x 3 metres. Access to main hall at both ends. Access to kitchen, meeting room and toilets including limited mobility and baby changing facilities
Kitchen: 4.2 x 5.2 metres. Doors to car park and foyer. Serving hatches to main hall and foyer, Equipped with a commercial oven, (six hobs) large warming cabinet. Microwave, double sink. commercial dishwasher. water boiler for tea /coffee. 2 larder fridge/freezers, crockery, cutlery & glassware (up to 120 place settings).
Outside: Onsite parking for up to 60 cars. Large, grassed area suitable for marquees. And BBQs. Covered entrance area. 2 EV charging points and an area for pétanque. Full CCTV coverage.
