The Parish Council recognises the importance of road safety – especially where pedestrians and vehicles have to share the same limited space. Safety around the School in Willey Road and The Square is becoming an issue of concern and the PC would like to appeal to car users to refrain from parking on the side of the road in this area. We urge all road users to make best use of the short-term car parks generously made available by The Playing Fields Management Committee, HOTV, The Parish Church and The Village Hall Committee. Please use these off-road facilities if you can and help all road users and pedestrians to stay safe.
We also appeal to visitors of the HOTV shop and Royal Oak to use the HOTV car park and not to park immediately outside – unless you have to park in the road for reasons of reduced mobility. Please remember that this is a busy junction with limited visibility and everyone’s safety can be seriously impaired by parked vehicles. Thank you.
