Somerset West and Taunton Council has drawn up a wide range of proposals for addressing global warning and the consequent climate emergency on a local level. They would like to hear your views on these by 2 March.

Stoke St Gregory PC discussed this survey at their February meeting and decided to respond as individuals, and to encourage others in the parish to do the same.

On the SW&T site, you can view or download a 4-page summary of their proposals (also on our Noticeboard), a 39-page full document, and complete the survey itself.

There is also a series of drop-in events across the county (details here), including one at Deane House in Taunton from 2 to 7pm on Wednesday 26 February.

The council is to be congratulated on taking this issue seriously and drawing up imaginative proposals. This survey is far more relevant and better designed than most of those that are sent to us. (SW&T has other surveys which can be accessed via their Consultation Hub. These can also be completed by individuals, though they are more geared towards organisations.)
