Advice and Resources Available

As well as being an essential feature of the natural environment, insects are vital in pollinating crops and fulfilling many other crucial functions. We would be sunk without them.

Unlike many of the environmental challenges facing us at the moment, the decline of insects could be reversed quite swiftly given the right conditions. Approaches recommended include the avoidance of pesticides, more wild habitat and crucially, corridors of land (wild verges etc) connecting areas of habitat. The report contains many inspirational case studies and suggests how we could help as communities and individuals.
